Word cloud

Word clouds are visualizations in which the size of the labels represents a quantitative variable.

In most cases, this is not a recommended visualization, as other types of charts allow for a more accurate and efficient comparison of the quantitative values plotted.

However, the word cloud can be a good choice when we want to highlight the most important concepts or terms in a set.

To create a word cloud:

  1. Link the categorical variable to "Labels"
  2. Link the quantitative variable to "Size"
  3. In "Marks" choose "None"
  4. In the "Layout" selector choose "Avoid overlap".
